Did you see, did you hear? We are talking about teleworking everywhere today. This method and these working conditions were almost “reserved” for people who are freelance or entrepreneurs. Because these two profiles of people already had this autonomy which allowed them to organize their planning.
1.1- The advantages for businesses
And then one day, arriving out of nowhere, this virus literally accelerated a lot of phenomena like teleworking. Results of the races: companies discover that they no longer need to rent or buy premises to have offices. As the employee has his workplace at home, this saves costs.
No longer need to contribute to the travel costs of your employees for trips by public transport except for exceptional events. No more need to pay electricity and heating bills for office buildings. No more risk of work accident on the employee’s journey to be borne by the company. In short, there is no shortage of benefits for businesses. Some will go even further, they will completely relocate their activities to Central and Eastern Europe.
Now, I think that companies in the future will hire employees who have autonomy and who are ready to work remotely all year round. A friend who lives in Paris and who graduated from a top school was recruited by an investment bank. He applied for a job that could potentially become dematerialized within this company. As soon as he has full control of his position, he will ask to work remotely in order to be able to leave France and settle in Montenegro as quickly as possible. The salary he will receive in Paris is correct but nothing more, in Montenegro, this salary will allow him to have a very comfortable life and an incredible savings capacity compared to a life in Paris.
1.2- The advantages for businesses
For employees, this is a questioning that is taking place. Quite a few people were not even aware that they could do their work from home with the same quality of service as if they were “in the office with their colleagues”. For example, I have a French friend who works on an activity that does not require physical presence. He tested teleworking for 1 month in Montenegro. He told me himself, he is more productive working remotely than working with colleagues in noise and almost permanent distraction. Moreover, the company noted an increase in the productivity of employees who were teleworking compared to those who kept a physical position at the company.
But this example is not necessarily true everywhere. Indeed, there are employees who will lose productivity due to being at home in an environment unsuitable for work. Some employees may have children, animals, and a range of distractions that can distract them and therefore lower the employee’s productivity. And we can have employees who do not have sufficient autonomy to work alone, without having a “boss on their back” to redirect them or call them to order. And for once, I think that with teleworking, the bad elements can also put themselves forward more through their laziness. At that point, you have to take advantage of it to fire them quickly.
What emerges here is a certain inequality in the working conditions that each employee can afford at home. The person who lives in a 40 square meter apartment with two children compared to a colleague who lives in a 200 square meter house with his office space away from sources of distraction already leaves with a certain disadvantage compared to his colleague at home.
With teleworking, we find ourselves in a completely new situation, where each person will have to rethink their personal living environment, which will become their working environment for perhaps several decades…
2- The trend of the biggest
Now, I see a change in behavior in household real estate investments, whether in France or Montenegro. Clients are looking for larger properties, with a garden or a property that does not have a garden but is located within walking distance of nature. The purpose of real estate today is no longer just to accommodate and support a family. Currently, a property is intended to satisfy the professional needs of a couple who may be teleworking, and of children who may have to follow school lessons at home.
A couple in these conditions must completely rethink the spaces defined for each in the house or apartment.
3- The price
Whether renting or purchasing, access to real estate in France is defined by the amount of the rent or the sale price of the property. The real estate market in France is particularly tense in cities, whether in the provinces or in the capital.
This can be explained by several reasons. Firstly because cities concentrate a lot of economic activity, pushing for a rural exodus. Because the population in France is increasing every year. And because the State does not have the skills to balance and distribute economic activity throughout its territory, and this is not new.
So every month, a household goes into debt by taking out a loan or adds to their monthly budget by paying high rent if they want to find a home close to their business.
Teleworking will perhaps change everything. It will provide access to quality housing that meets the ambitions of a household at very attractive prices for those who will afford these possibilities. How?

4- The countryside in France or expatriation
Either households will agree to move away from cities to go to the countryside and benefit from larger accommodation, close to nature while paying less. This is entirely feasible in all countries.
Or, a more radical decision and in my opinion much more beneficial: expatriation.
Instead of moving to the countryside, you can change your living environment and choose Montenegro. Thus, the household will be able to benefit from an endless list of advantages:
– cheaper accommodation than in France
– an increase in purchasing power of 40% with a French salary
– a sublime living environment
– a country where insecurity does not exist
– a sea view
– on vacation every day as soon as you finish your working day
– goodbye pollution
– diversity in leisure activities (ski resorts, beaches, countryside, cities)
– proximity to new countries to discover (Albania, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, etc…)
Whether you choose to move to the countryside, to the outskirts of big cities or to emigrate, somewhere the two approaches have points in common. In both cases, this involves a move, integration into a new town or village with the inhabitants, a new school for the children sometimes unless they were already learning with home school.
The main differences if you go abroad will be learning the local language if you want to fully integrate with the locals and the culture “shock” with a new way of life. That said, culture shock is something that millions of French people already experience while living among several ethnic communities, who do not really integrate into France. On this side, you will surely gain from the exchange.
4.1- Hybrid expatriation
If an expatriation seems too brutal to you, even if you want it, but you are afraid of not acclimatizing to a new country like Montenegro, then you can opt for a “half and half” expatriation. You can spend 6 months working in France and 6 months working from Montenegro. You will be able to get the best benefits from each country this way, which is an option to really consider.
This mode of expatriation limits the risk and offers you only possibilities. I find this extremely interesting for people who want to start in expatriation. I tell you about it in the book (only in French) “Why these French people are settling discreetly in Montenegro”.

In summary
If we consider inflation which is around 8% in France, the retirement system which will literally collapse on itself, the migrants who arrive with bac -10 to swell the ranks of those receiving assistance who are are already massively reproduced in France, the increase in the country’s debt, the general increase in taxes, the cost of real estate higher than ever… Opting for teleworking associated with expatriation can easily allow you to pay all these problems thanks to one simple thing: increasing your savings capacity.
You therefore create more wealth to build your own social system for your family and those around you. Montenegro, thanks to its fiscal stability, with a flat tax of 9%, offers a future that seems almost inaccessible in France, Belgium, Switzerland or Canada…
